Emily Smith, BSc (Hons) Agriculture with Farm Business Management student, has been awarded a British Poultry Council (BPC) scholarship in association with the Moy Park, at Harper Adams University.
Emily, 20, from Buxton, Derbyshire said: “The Moy Park Scholarship will help assist my long-term career aspirations and give me an opportunity to be less reliant on working during in term-time.
“I’m currently the secretary of the Students’ Union at Harper and this scholarship will give me more time to volunteer. Through this role I’ll gain invaluable experience learning life skills such as time management, planning and teamwork.
“I’d like to thank those who selected me for the Moy Park Scholarship because it’ll also give me a great experience at one of the leading poultry companies in the UK, and give me a chance to gain knowledge and open doors into the industry.”
